There is a close relationship between water tables and geomorphological landforms, particularly fluvial geomorphology. With the expansion of the relationship among the geomorphology in the majority of hydrogeomorphology theories, attention has been drawn to the various aspects of the role of landforms in groundwater potential. The development of this perspective has made it much easier to assess groundwater potential using geomorphological indicators. One of the most prominent landforms in plains, whose changes can affect the groundwater table, is the river pattern. In the present study, the morphological pattern, as well as the length, area, and height of 31 rivers in the central and eastern parts of Guilan Province, were analyzed, and their effects on the groundwater table were evaluated. Using Landsat 8 satellite imagery, the extent of alluvial fans and main rivers were determined, and the sinuosity index was calculated. The rivers were classified into four straight patterns, sinusoidal, meandering and severe meandering. Next, a groundwater map of the region was created, and by overlaying it with the river patterns, the influence of river morphology on changes in the groundwater table was investigated. The data was analyzed using hierarchical, parametric, and non-parametric statistical methods. The results showed that in separated spatial zones in terms of pattern changes, the greater sinuosity, longer river length, and larger areas influenced by rivers were associated with higher groundwater potential and shallower water tables. Additionally, statistical analyses revealed that the relationship between the river sinuosity index and groundwater depth was non-random, with the water table decreasing as the river pattern shifted from straight to highly meandering.

The handicrafts value chain is an economic system comprising a network of actors and business activities that evolve and trade a product, from primary producers to final consumers, creating economic value for each actor in the network. Also, the tourism industry, as the sector most closely linked to handicrafts, plays a vital role in creating and expanding markets for handicraft products. This study examined the concept and process of the handicrafts value chain in Asherstāq rural destrict, the city of Behshahr, Mazandaran Province, as an example of villages with relatively similar conditions, especially in northern regions of the country. The research was conducted through the distribution of questionnaires among local residents and relevant experts, with data analysis performed using SPSS software and the one-sample independent T-test. The analysis of handicrafts value chain indicators across seven variables showed that all seven elements including, consumer, producer, processor, retailer, wholesaler, supplier, and facilitator exist and exert influence within the studied area. The highest average impact was observed in the roles of "facilitator" and "retailer," while the lowest relative impact was recorded for the components of "producer" and "consumer."

Population aging and its associated social and economic challenges have compelled countries worldwide to explore various solutions to address the aging population issues. Elderly-friendly cities and communities have emerged as a significant policy framework, promoting participatory governance tailored to the needs of older adults. This study aimed to evaluate the indicators of elderly-friendly cities and propose principles for developing such a community in the Baqerabad neighborhood. The research is descriptive-quantitative and applied in nature. Data collection involved 390 questionnaires completed by elderly residents of Baqerabad in Rasht. The collected data were analyzed using binomial tests, Pearson correlation, and regression analysis in SPSS software. The questionnaire analysis revealed that the elderly participation indicator ranked the lowest among all other indicators. Also, urban planning and management have neglected the transportation index. Therefore, prioritizing the improvement of elderly participation and social engagement and addressing the transportation system are key priorities for realizing the elderly-friendly neighborhood approach in Baqerabad.

In recent years, rural houses, like any other phenomenon, have been influenced by internal and external factors, undergoing significant changes and transformations, and have had consequences such as human alienation from the place and a decrease in the sense of place. The sense of belonging to the place is an important factor in forming users' connection with the place and creating a high-quality environment. Therefore, providing suitable rural housing, reconstruction, and renovation, usually followed to achieve a more favorable spatial quality, requires knowledge of the factors affecting the sense of place in its constituent elements. Therefore, the current research aimed to investigate the extent of the impact of the quality of sustainable spatial components in fostering a sense of belonging to rural houses in Tālesh. By obtaining its structural knowledge of these components within the framework of indigenous architecture, which can be transmitted to future generations like other principles, the research aimed to significantly influence the design of contemporary rural structures. For this purpose, the information of this research has been collected based on library studies and field observations. It was descriptive-analytical research, and its data was collected through a survey method using a semantic difference questionnaire. The research sample included 670 residents of rural houses in the Tālesh region, the were selected by quota distribution. After distributing and completing the questionnaires, correlation and regression tests were used in Spss software to check the research data. The findings of this research showed that among the components of the sustainable spatial model, the quality of the eco-territorial variable and its manifestation in the physical environment of Tālesh rural houses had the greatest effect on the sense of belonging of the people using the space with an influence coefficient of 0.834%. Therefore, to increase the sense of place in Tālesh rural houses, its constituent elements should be recreated with shapes and materials compatible with the environment and the place.

The deteriorated urban fabric of the city of Sāri, which is mostly located in the central core of the city, has decayed over time. This process has led to the loss of its socio-economic functionality and vitality, creating conditions conducive to the emergence of various social issues. Recently, urban regeneration has been adopted and promoted as one of the appropriate policies and approaches for intervening in deteriorated urban areas. Therefore, this study aimed to identify and analyze the importance of the performance of good governance indicators for the regeneration of deteriorated urban areas in Sāri. This study is descriptive-analytical in nature and method, and applied-developmental in terms of its objective. The data were collected using a mixed approach (documentary and survey methods) and analyzed using the Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA) method. 384 households were selected using Cochran's formula by a random sampling. The softwares used in this research were SPSS and Smart PLS. The findings based on the IPA matrix indicated that out of the eight evaluated indicators, six indicators — transparency (Code 1), participation (Code 5), efficiency (Code 4), consensus orientation (Code 3), legalism (Code 6), and equity (Code 8) — fall into the first quadrant (low performance). This indicates that, despite the high importance of these indicators, their performance is low, representing system weaknesses that should be prioritized for corrective actions and improvements. The indicators of accountability (Code 2) and responsibility (Code 7) fall into the third quadrant (apathy) and both their importance and performance are low, these indicators are not considered threatening to the system. Based on the study's findings, most indicators fall into the low-performance area, requiring significant corrective actions to achieve the regeneration of deteriorated urban areas in Sāari. The highest-priority indicators were equity, legalism, and the critical aspects of participation and consensus orientation.

The coasts of Makrān, in connection with the Indian Ocean, have wide capacities in the field of development of maritime transport and transit of goods on an international scale. Investigations showed that investment in the field of port infrastructure and the development of maritime transport capacities and trade and commercial exchanges with the surrounding countries will be the basis for improving the country's geopolitical status in the maritime field. Taking advantage of these geographical advantages can provide economic and political development and help the region overcome geographical isolation. Therefore, the development of maritime transport, in alignment with foreign policy, is considered one of the factors and processes of power generation, which is a key focus of geopolitical studies. According to the nature of the problem and its subject, the present research method was descriptive-analytical and applied studies. The findings showed that paying attention to the geographical bases in the field of maritime transportation in the Makrān coast provides the basis for the activation of these capacities and, consequently, the sea-oriented economic dynamics, which will increase the geopolitical and geoeconomic power and influence of Iran on a regional and global scale. In this regard, Iran can prioritize the ports of this region and activate the North-South and even West-East corridors to foster regional integration and promote local political and economic development.
